Small and medium-sized businesses that have suffered due to Covid-19 don’t expect to return fully to pre-pandemic levels of activity and profit until summer 2022, according to research published by Santander UK.
The survey data indicates that Covid-19 is likely to widen regional disparities, although businesses all over the country are forecasting a fall in profits by March 2021 compared with before the pandemic.
