Nearly two in five employees (38%) would look for a new role if they thought their organisation was not doing enough on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, such as reducing carbon emissions or operating ethically.

According to a Robert Half survey of 2,000 UK employees, this number rises to nearly half (47%) among 18-34-year-olds.

Other findings include:

'If you want to keep your best talent and attract new candidates into the business, don’t rely on rhetoric,’ the report advises. ‘Ensure you have a clear, demonstrable ESG plan in place with measurable actions, and make that easily available to employees, candidates and customers.’
