Six years after ACCA moved its London offices to the illustrious Adelphi building, we have been working to update our space to fit with the changing needs of our organisation and staff.
The newly refurbished office reopened on 1 September after a period of closure to allow for the refit. The new look and feel centres around wellbeing, flexibility and a digital-first approach.
We are excited to have a studio that allows us to host virtual panels, conferences and other member events. The flexible workspace allows people to come in and work as and when they need. And a wellbeing room and a central hub and café will encourage social interaction.
As part of the refurbishment, we undertook an energy modelling and optimisation review to make the office even more efficient and sustainable. These changes, alongside a 65% reduction in office space (from 37,450 square feet to 12,576 square feet), equate to:
- a 70% reduction in carbon emissions
- expected energy consumption to reduce by 70%
- cost savings of £8m over the next five years.
We believe the new space will fit well with how our organisation and staff want and need to work today.
