After a turbulent 2023, it’s good to focus on the positive. One way we’re doing this in AB this month is by taking a look back at the ACCA members we have profiled this year. Our community is as impressive as it is diverse; all around the world members are working hard to bring innovation, integrity and professional excellence to a range of roles. We celebrate some key proponents of these core values and look forward to showcasing more in 2024.
One such success story profiled in the MESA edition (all regional editions of AB are accessible via the drop-down menu at the top right of each AB page) is that of Kamillia AlMarashi FCCA, whose desire to excel has seen her rise to head of portfolio management at Investment Corporation of Dubai.
We also profile Nepali auditing legend Pratap Pradhan FCCA, a development sector audit specialist and dedicated ACCA advocate who has played a key part in the development of the profession in his country. And we meet accountant-turned-tech-entrepreneur Linda Luu FCCA, who was born in Vietnam, grew up in the UK and is now putting her energies into her latest entrepreneurial project in Dubai; she explains why her ‘acctech’ tool for mobile devices will empower small business owners.
