What I enjoy about my job is that it blends technical accounting and tax responsibilities with leadership and management duties and has a significant level of influence. I take pleasure in guiding individuals, fostering a positive team dynamic and mentoring. Working in a fast-paced setting where I have a visible impact on the organisation is something I find stimulating.

Before joining PKP Cargo I worked for EY as an auditor, reaching associate partner. I acquired a comprehensive understanding of many different industries and developed my professional skills. However, I was drawn to the corporate world because I could work on many diverse projects, collaborate with other teams, and experience different areas of business beyond accounting. It has provided me with new challenges and the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.

It’s important to lead by example, inspiring your team by creating a culture of collaboration and accountability

Managing a large group of people requires the ability to develop strong relationships with team members, communicate effectively and provide clear guidance. It’s important to lead by example, inspiring your team to achieve their goals through motivation, vision and by creating a culture of collaboration and accountability. Managers need to be able to effectively convey their expectations, provide feedback and resolve conflicts in an effective manner. It is also important to identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses, and ensure that work is distributed fairly and effectively.

The current environment has highlighted the need for resilient and agile supply chains with optimised solutions

The global situation presents significant challenges for all logistics companies. We are observing supply chain disruptions and delays in transportation and delivery, which lead to increased costs and decreased productivity. The increased costs of fuel, raw materials and rising salaries also affect the profitability of logistics businesses, while Covid-19 caused shortages of skilled workers. However, there are also opportunities as the current environment has highlighted the need for resilient and agile supply chains with optimised solutions. Digitalisation and technology is helping increase efficiency and reduce costs.

My biggest achievement is my family. I am incredibly proud of the life that my husband and I have built together with our daughter. Seeing her grow and develop is the greatest joy of my life.

If I had law-making powers, I would introduce legislation to combat climate change

I care deeply about the environment and future of my daughter, and I believe that protecting our planet should be a top priority. If I had law-making powers, I would introduce comprehensive legislation to protect the environment and combat climate change, requiring businesses and individuals to take measurable steps towards adopting environment-friendly practices.

I have always been fascinated by the world of technology, so I if I wasn’t an accountant I would have been an IT professional. The opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects would be very exciting, and there is always something new to learn and explore.

In my spare time I love travelling, skiing and knitting. Travelling is one of my biggest passions, as I love exploring different places and cultures and trying new foods, while skiing allows me to be active outdoors and challenge myself physically. Knitting is a hobby that I find both relaxing and rewarding, as I enjoy the process of creating something with my own two hands. These hobbies allow me to recharge my batteries.
