As a fund supervisor in client operations, I am a trusted liaison for the stakeholders within our team. Every day, I collaborate with my teammates to ensure accurate reconciliation of positions and cashflow for funds. Additionally, I facilitate communication and coordination with investment managers, brokers and external partners to address daily operational matters.
Navigating through various cash ledgers tied to distinct fund accounts requires deep understanding. Moreover, comprehending the intricacies of investment settlement, particularly concerning derivatives like swaps and forwards, is intellectually stimulating. In addition, this role assumes the vital function of an intermediary, acting as a bridge between associates and managers. By combining these aspects, I’m able to contribute to the bigger picture while staying ahead of potential challenges.

My overarching career aspiration is to transition from a specialist to a generalist, with a broader perspective of the industry’s workings. In the immediate term, I remain dedicated to honing my expertise within my current work domains, embracing more projects and assuming increased responsibilities. ‘Become a person who is unGoogleable’ – someone who can offer a unique set of insights and skills – is a valuable insight I gained from one of my professors when I was studying for my MSc Finance at Trinity College Dublin. My aim is to become a valuable contributor within the fund and financial sector, contributing directly to the growth and success of my organisation.
I’m a cinephile and music lover. One of my all-time favourite films is The Lost City of Z, a real-life drama that I’ve watched multiple times for its captivating storyline and scenes. Music allows me to unwind and recharge. Through social media, I like to connect and help out people who are new to Ireland or the funds industry. I hope I can make the path a little easier for them.
