In our main interview we meet Samuel Munzele Maimbo FCCA, a VP at the World Bank. Having spent nearly two decades criss-crossing four continents as a World Bank finance specialist, he now ensures the bank’s US$5bn budget is spent as effectively as possible. He says: ‘The numbers that excite and get me out of bed every morning are those related to the work the World Bank does around the world in response to the deeply intertwined challenges of poverty, pandemics, climate change, debt, conflict, food insecurity and fragility.’ Read his story.
