Optimism is rising among Ireland’s CFOs, with almost twice as many feeling more positive about the future now compared to 12 months ago.

A survey by Deloitte of 1,300 CFOs across 13 countries in Europe also showed that Irish CFOs anticipate improvements in key metrics in the next year.

However, despite the optimism, half (53%) of the Irish CFOs polled say there is a high level of external financial and economic uncertainty facing their business, up from 44% a year ago, with geopolitical risk emerging as the number-one concern.
