Research has found that accounting and legal professionals are optimistic if still uncertain about generative AI.

According to the Thomson Reuters report, 78% of respondents in legal, tax and accounting firms believe generative AI tools (which can learn the patterns and structure of training data to generate new data with similar characteristics) such as ChatGPT can enhance their work. Over half (52%) of respondents believe that generative AI should be used for legal and tax work.
