As a leader, I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and applying continuous improvement methodologies. I believe in supporting an environment where our company stands out as one of the best places to work in Ireland. This role has enhanced my emotional intelligence, which is essential for developing innovative solutions while considering diverse stakeholder perspectives.

Esmark Finch is a business group serving diverse sectors, primarily through vehicle engineering, and print and packaging. Our Vehicle Engineering division applies post-manufactured modifications to vehicles, such as lights, sirens, communication equipment and graphics. A broad range of clients include the Dublin Airport Authority. Our Print and Packaging division focuses on the technology, pharmaceutical, food and retail sectors, serving blue chip clients like Microsoft, McAfee and Takeda. Our newest venture, Vehicle Intelligence, has zoned in on the fact that in-cab IT solutions will be essential for the safe use of the modern emergency services vehicle.

My passion for geography and global affairs has led me to pursue a Master’s in Geopolitics

In January 2025, I was appointed co-managing director of Vehicle Engineering as part of its succession plan. This expanded my role beyond finance and governance to include operations, where I collaborate with key stakeholders to drive growth. As an FCCA, I bring a multifaceted perspective, integrating human-centred design in product development, while assessing financial and operational risks – particularly in technology, where AI presents both significant opportunities and challenges.

One of our biggest upcoming opportunities is international expansion. Over the past decade, we have become Ireland’s market leader in vehicle conversion. We believe this can be replicated in new markets. Partnership with Enterprise Ireland is providing valuable support, offering expertise and resources on the ground. One of the biggest challenges will be sourcing specialist skills, but we have a strong pool of international talent within our team, enabling us to relocate skilled professionals where they are needed to drive our growth.

The value of ACCA in my work extends beyond the knowledge and expertise it provides. It also fosters continuous professional development and lifelong learning. Since earning my ACCA qualification, I have completed an MBA at Dublin City University, while my passion for geography and global affairs has led me to pursue a Master’s in Geopolitics at University College Dublin, which I plan to complete in 2026.

I have learned that customers are a company’s most valuable asset

Walking my dog, yoga and running all help me to unwind. I’m set to participate in the Prague Marathon in April 2025. Recently, I’ve taken up handstand training, currently holding one for five seconds. The goal is to reach 10 seconds by year end.

I’m passionate about giving back to my community in Ecuador. I’ve provided financial support and mentoring to family members through college and plan to expand this by establishing a foundation to help young people access higher education and build brighter futures.

The most important business lesson I have learned in my career is that customers are a company’s most valuable asset. Success lies in attracting, growing and retaining them through outstanding service and high-quality products.
