I began my career in assurance immediately after graduating in 2016, and in 2017 I moved to Singapore to further my professional development. My early years were shaped by demanding audit assignments alongside ACCA evening classes – a relentless pace that, while challenging, proved incredibly fulfilling.
As part of the audit team at EY Singapore, I had the privilege of working alongside exceptional mentors who played a pivotal role in my personal and professional growth. Assurance was more than just numbers; it was about fostering trust within the business community. I also gained exposure to digital tools integrated into the audit process, allowing me to offer innovative insights to clients and stay ahead of technological advancements in the industry. The transition into financial advisory has given me greater flexibility in managing my time
Following my tenure at EY, I joined Cosmostar, a Singapore-headquarted textile manufacturing company, as finance manager. I oversaw the group’s finance function, including group audits, transfer pricing, and financial planning and analysis. This position presented numerous challenges and exciting opportunities, particularly in financial and tax due diligence, where I collaborated closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Despite a demanding travel schedule – regularly visiting subsidiaries in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia – I gained invaluable exposure that deepened my technical expertise and strengthened my ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.
To further broaden my horizons, I made a strategic transition into financial advisory with AIA Financial Advisers. This shift has given me greater flexibility in managing my time while allowing me to create meaningful impact. By leveraging my financial expertise, I help individuals and businesses develop robust financial plans, focusing on wealth protection, accumulation strategies, and long-term financial security.
