I am the founder of ACCA silver learning partner Warrior Consultancy and Learning, which I started in 2021 from a deep passion for education and human potential. My role is multifaceted: ensuring my students succeed in their ACCA exams and careers, maintaining the highest standards of teaching while keeping the business sustainable, and mentoring my team to align their purpose with our organisational vision.

My biggest challenge – and also my biggest mission – is helping part-time students believe in themselves and not give up when the journey feels overwhelming. What brings me the most joy is the genuine human connection I share with my students, both inside and outside the classroom, through initiatives such as Joy Hike, Joy Workshops, and relaxation and visualisation sessions.

What excites me most is engaging, student-centred learning

Malaysia and South-East Asia are incredibly rich in learning opportunities, and I feel fortunate to be in an ecosystem that values continuous development. What excites me most is the shift towards more engaging, student-centred learning. Today, accountancy is no longer just about numbers; it’s about judgment, interpretation and asking the right questions.

The challenge – and the opportunity – is to redesign learning experiences to suit the younger generation by making them interactive, practical and enjoyable. My strong foundation in finance allows me to integrate commercial awareness, risk management and strategic thinking into everything I do, ensuring my business remains impactful and sustainable.

One of my most meaningful achievements has been creating an online audit practical workshop that bridges the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice. This project stands out to me because of the lasting impact it has created. Students and parents continue to request this programme because it has helped them build confidence and equipped them with job-ready skills. Seeing that transformation in my students is my greatest measure of success.

ACCA has been absolutely transformational in my journey. It gave me a global professional language and a powerful sense of belonging. The credibility that comes with the qualification has opened doors, and the ACCA network has accelerated my growth in ways I could not have imagined. Over the past five years, I have learned immensely from conversations and mentorship from FCCAs and ACCAs, who have shaped my thinking and confidence.

Mentors have played a meaningful role in shaping my values

I’ve been blessed with remarkable mentors and role models. My first and most influential inspiration was my tuition teacher who shaped my foundation and belief in myself. Along the way, I’ve been guided by incredible individuals, including Farid Affandi, Raman Shanmugam, and Pathmanathan Balakrishnan. Each of them has played a meaningful role in shaping my values, resilience and leadership style.

My aspiration is simple but powerful: to live joyfully every day and to spread that joy. I do that through my work, my conversations and my contribution to the accountancy profession. I aspire to be a strong voice in shaping the future of the profession, especially as we move into a new era shaped by technology and AI.
