I began my career on a quest for a training organisation, which is a fairly usual entry point for accounting and finance students. Fortunately, I landed in a large professional practice. A few successful chartered accountant friends and family members inspired me to go for a career in finance when I was at school.
From audit, I have transformed myself into an M&A transaction services financial adviser specialist. What I most like is the enactment aspect, in which I need to act on behalf of my client for tasks such as transaction/deal negotiations.
My journey has provided me with the liberty to develop myself and expand my skills

Throughout my professional life I’ve enjoyed the freedom of being able to manoeuvre between organisations and geographies, opting to join financial services at an important stage of my career and most recently becoming an advisory professional. My journey has provided me with the liberty to develop myself and expand my skills, while also giving me the opportunity to genuinely enjoy the work I do.
I would eventually like to see myself as an entrepreneur who inspires and impacts the people around me in a positive way. If I weren’t in finance, maybe I would have been an actor or lawyer; the common attributes of my current role and these two alternatives is creativity.
