TD O’Neill & Co was established in 1994. The firm has grown considerably since then and now employs 17 people. A key aspect of our firm is that many of our team began as trainees, choosing to stay and grow with the firm, offering continuity and knowledge that serves to enrich our clients’ experience. We provide a wide range of services and expertise, with a client-centred approach that aims to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

In addition to being friendly and approachable, we see ourselves as problem-solvers. We assist our clients in areas such as regular detailed financial reporting, raising finance, corporate refinancing and restructuring, as well as advising on business acquisitions and disposals and long-term planning.

Our client base is dominated by the retailer sector – in particular, food and symbol group retailers. The firm is very well known and highly respected as an authority in this area. We have over 20 years’ experience in this sector, giving us a wealth of knowledge that we share with our clients. We provide regular and detailed reports, with results benchmarked to peers and budgets. Over the years, we have advised on numerous purchases and sales of companies and businesses in the supermarket sector.

One of the biggest lessons learned from 2020 has been there is opportunity regardless of the circumstances. To make the most of an opportunity you need the right information, and we are proud of the role we’ve played in helping companies understand how they can move forward.

The most important business lesson I have learned in my career is that perseverance pays. Small things done consistently well over long periods of time will deliver big rewards.

Looking towards the year ahead, my biggest hope is one that will be shared by everyone in the community. I hope we will see the virus eliminated and the beginning of a new prosperous cycle that will allow us to use our talents to the full and once again enjoy the company of our family and friends.
