As we reach the end of the year, I find it really humbling to look back at the members we have profiled in the last 12 months. This month we’ve showcased some of the highlights, including the FD of Hampshire Cricket, the CEO of Migrant Leaders, and GenCFO’s Finance Leader of the Year. It’s inspiring to read about all our interviewees’ passion and fascination for life and business.

Also in celebration of members, we announce the winners of ACCA’s inaugural public sector advocates awards. We’ll be talking to the UK winner, Elaine Boyd of Audit Scotland, in more depth in an interview in January.

With COP 27 having taken place on 6-18 November, we look at finance professionals’ preparedness for net-zero transition. ACCA research has found that while organisations are attaching more importance to environmental factors and expect significant change in business practices in order to meet net-zero targets, they need more support to increase access to, and awareness and knowledge of, green finance products.

Don’t forget you can earn up to 15 CPD units by listening on demand to our Accounting for the Future conference. The event has so far attracted 39,000 registrants (and climbing), and the agenda offers something for everyone.

CPD is also available this month by through articles on intangible assets, double materiality and how to succeed as a new manager. Also look out for our CPD special edition due to be published in December.
