After earning a diploma in accounting, I left Malaysia to pursue opportunities in Singapore. With determination and a willingness to learn, I achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a position as an account assistant at a construction company, despite having limited experience. It was here I realised I had a genuine interest in accounting, and so I enrolled on a part-time ACCA programme. Juggling family responsibilities and studies required meticulous planning, but I received unwavering support from my family, whose encouragement enabled me to complete my ACCA qualification on the first attempt.

I’m currently studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst certificate. I want to enhance my role as a specialist business partner and contribute more to management decision-making. My goal is to leverage my expertise in financial analysis to inform strategic investment decisions and drive growth for the company.
I began as an accountant at Princeton Digital Group but in only my second year I was offered a more significant role when my line manager left. Through dedication and perseverance, I’ve earned yearly promotions, ultimately becoming a finance manager.
I successfully led the expansion of the finance setup for the APAC region, leading a high-performing team. By building strong relationships with various stakeholders, I ensured timely information sharing and consistently met budget allocations. As a finance team leader, I foster a culture of excellence, encouraging my team to embrace challenges and strive for success.

I enjoy the fast-paced nature of being a finance manager. My current role involves financial reporting, risk management, forecasting and budgeting – plenty to keep things interesting and challenging. My deep understanding of the business makes me a highly effective financial data analyst, capable of providing incisive ideas and strategic assistance that drive business objectives, thanks also to my tight relationships with cross-functional teams.
