Every organisation needs an accountant to understand where the money comes from and where it goes. That’s what attracted me to a career in finance. I chose to focus on auditing because it helps me gain a complete understanding of a business. Understanding the business processes of our clients is what I enjoy most about my job. I get to see how different parts of the organisation fit together and ensure that financial practices are accurate and reliable.

In Malaysia’s audit landscape, one key trend – and challenge – is digital transformation. With new technologies constantly emerging, I need to be agile and adapt quickly to stay ahead. I find it exciting to learn and incorporate these new technologies into my work, as it enhances audit processes.
My biggest career influences have been the amazing people I get to work with. They have been my guides and cheerleaders along the way. Seeing colleagues and mentors who show exceptional skill, dedication and integrity has been incredibly inspiring. Watching industry leaders who truly shine and push the field forward motivates me to keep improving and aiming high in my own career.

Outside of work, I have a passion for freediving, travelling and exploring different cultures. If I weren’t an accountant, I’d be a freediver. I love the challenge of holding my breath and exploring the serene, magical underwater world, where adventure meets a unique sense of calm.
