We also speak to Jaysen Toocaram FCCA, director of finance at mass caterer Newrest Wacasco in Oman. Originally from Mauritius, Toocaram’s career has taken him from one side of Africa to the other and on to the Middle East, where a key focus now is the automation of Newrest Wacasco’s finance department.

We hear how accountants in South Asia are guiding businesses through tough times and have advice from UAE practitioners on how to approach digitalisation. And in our latest tips for practice management, we look at appraisal systems and how to get them right.
